1. THE CASTING PERIOD
Submission period commences at 9am Eastern Time (“ET”) on February 16, 2015 and concludes on 5 p.m. ET on March 20 , 2015.
2. ELIGIBITY
We thank everyone for their submissions.
The GiveAway and Casting Call are open to legal residents of Canada or the US over the age of majority in their province or state of residence at the time of entry, with a valid e-mail address, excluding Quebec and where prohibited by law.
People outside Canada and the US may submit their dogs talents and images but are not eligible for prizes.
Entrants chose to perform live must be available to attend The Canadian Pet Expo April 3-4, 2015.
Entrants may register and submit as many photos and videos as you like either through the Submission Link or the entry form.
All photos and videos submitted must be original and created by the entrant. You warrant that your submission does not contravene our Terms of Service or Contravene or Infringe on anyone else’s copyright or other intellectual property, moral rights, privacy or publicity rights, and that you are the legal and registered owner of the dog/s depicted in your photo or have written clearance to submit available upon request.
BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER ENTRY MAY BE POSTED ON TALENT HOUNDS and SPONSORS’ WEBSITES, AT THEIR SOLE DISCRETION. SPONSOR CAN DECIDE NOT TO POST A SUBMISSION FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
Each submitted photograph or video must not contain content that;
- is pornographic, sexual, or contains nudity or is otherwise suggestive,
- is violent, or promotes weaponry or cruelty to humans or animals,
- is racist, sexist, ageist or derogatory of any ethnic, religious or other group of people,
- is profane or otherwise offensive,
- promotes illegal drugs, tobacco, or alcohol, dangerous activities, or gambling
- is political
- contains information about or references to people either living or dead (including personal information such as licence plate numbers or street addresses), businesses or companies,
- contains trademarks, logos, or other intellectual property, even with permission,
- contains or consists of copyrighted materials
- is inconsistent with Sponsor brand images and/or goodwill; and/or
- is otherwise illegal, immoral or undesirable for inclusion in this competition.
3. HOW TO ENTER THE CASTING CALLNO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Visitors may enter the Casting Call during the Casting Call Period in the following way:Visit www.www.talenthounds.ca on your computer or mobile device, register and upload a photo or submit a link to a video of your pet and describe their talents through the entry form below.Only one (1) email address and one (1) entrant can be associated with each account. Entrant can upload unlimited number of different photos.
Share your entry once posted in the gallery on the site and Facebook and get your friends to like it.
STANDARD MOBILE DEVICE CHARGES MAY APPLY.
Entries must be submitted to the website no later than 5.00pm ET at the last day of the Casting Call period. The Casting Call Sponsors take no responsibility for submissions that are lost, misdirected, delayed, or received after the Casting Call deadline. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and regulations. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address in question.
4. WINNER SELECTION
(i) After the Casting Call Period, judges will select one online winner by random draw for a VISA Gift Card then up to 10 winning entries based on who they believe will be best suited to perform in the live Talent Search at the Canadian Pet Expo. Talents may include but are not limited to tricks, singing, dancing, sports, therapy, sniffing and more.
(ii) The potential winners will be contacted by a representative of one of the Casting Call within three (3) business days through email, as provided by the entrant’s account information. Potential winners found to be ineligible, decline to accept, who are unable to be contacted or unavailable for the show (including failing to return emails) within five (5) business days from the time the Casting Call Sponsors contact the potential winners, and/or who fail to reply and accept the Release Form (as defined in section 10 below) emailed to him or her within the allotted time period will forfeit.
(iii) If there is no suitable and eligible entrant who enters in a Period, no spot will be awarded.
(iv) If the contacted Potential Winner has forfeited or is unable to perform, the Casting Call Sponsors may select another Potential Winner and will be contacted within one (1) business day through email.
(v) The Organizers shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Casting Call. Failure to provide such proof in a form satisfactory may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. The Organizers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant should such an entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
5. CASTING PRIZES
One winner will receive a $50 VISA Gift Card
Those selected to perform live will be offered
– 2 free passes to the event April 3rd and 4th
– the chance to show their pet’s talents in front of a large live audience, great judges and a film crew and be featured on Talent Hounds
– the chance to win a selection of prizes including one grand prize at the event
6. NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES
None of the Casting Call Sponsors makes any representation or offers any warranty, expressed or implied, as to the quality or fitness of any prize awarded in connection with the Casting Call. Prize winners understand and acknowledge that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from the Casting Call Sponsors should a prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory to a prize winner.
7. DECLARATION AND RELEASE OF PRIZE WINNER
Before being awarded a prize, the selected entrant, must reply to the Casting Call Organizer’s email and indicate that he or she read, understood and accepted these Rules; he or she releases the Organizers, the Affiliates, and all of their directors, officers, employees, agents as well as their respective advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability arising in connection with participation in the casting Call and acceptance of a spot in the show, including, without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred or arising from participating in the Casting Call or accepting a prize, whether suffered by the prize winner, or by his or her heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors, and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission, negligence or gross negligence of any or all of the Releasees.
8. PRIVACY / USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.
(a) By entering the Casting Call and voluntarily providing personal information including, but not limited to, name, address, city, email address, home and office telephone numbers (the “Registrant Information”), each entrant grants permission to the Organizers to collect and use the Registrant Information for the exclusive purpose of administering the Casting Call and selecting the prize winner(s). including but not limited to contacting and announcing the Winners; and (ii) acknowledges that the Sponsors may disclose his/her Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of any of the Sponsors in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) above.
(b) By opting-in online you consent to the casting Call Organizers and Sponsors that you may be contacted to promote opportunities to subscribe to newsletters, and notify you about related products or services.
(c) The Sponsors will use the entrant’s Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect the entrant’s Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with the Casting call Organizers and Sponsors’ Privacy Policy:
9. TERMINATION/MODIFICATION
Subject to applicable law, the Casting call Organizers reserve the right to cancel, suspend, terminate, modify the Rules or administration of the Casting call, in whole or in part, without prior notice with no obligation or liability, including, if for any reason, theCasting Call is not capable of running as planned. Please check back regularly.
10. ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS
By submitting a video or photographic image, for good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and receipt of which you hereby acknowledge, you hereby grant to Hop To It Productions and its affiliates a non-exclusive, perpetual, world-wide, royalty-free license to use, edit, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, telecast, syndicate, license, print sublicense, create derivative products and otherwise exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to it at our sole discretion without payment to you or any third party., including incorporating it in other works in any media now known or later developed including, without limitation, published books, TV series, films, videos. All such other works will be the sole property of Hop To It Productions and all copyright will reside with Hop To It Productions.
If you do not wish to grant these rights, it is suggested that you do not submit a photographic image or video.
Hop To It Productions Inc reserves the right to select, edit and arrange submissions, and to remove images from the www.talenthounds.ca website or works at any time at its sole discretion.
Your submissions are deemed non-confidential and Organizers have no obligation to maintain the confidentiality of information and images, in whatever form, contained in any submission, except pursuant to the Talent Hounds Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant to the Organizers that you have the full legal right, power and authority to grant to Hop To It Productions Inc the license provided for herein, that you own or control the complete exhibition and other rights to the materials you submitted for the purposes contemplated in this license and that neither the materials nor the exercise of the rights granted herein shall infringe upon or violate the right of privacy or right of publicity of, or constitute a libel or slander against, or violate any common law or any other right of, any person or entity. Users may be held legally liable for the contents of their submissions, for example, for material protected by copyright, trademark, patent or trade secret law or other proprietary right without permission of the author or owner, or defamatory comments.
11. TAMPERING
If for any reason the Casting Call is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Casting Call Sponsors that corrupts, impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Casting Call, the Casting Call Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend the Casting Call and/or prizes. The Casting Call Sponsors further reserve the right to disqualify, from this Casting Call and future Casting Calls of the Casting Call Organizers and Sponsors, any individual who tampers with or in any way corrupts the entry process. The Casting Call Sponsors may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Casting Call or winning a prize if, in the Casting Call Sponsors’ sole discretion, the Casting Call Sponsors determine that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Casting Call by cheating, hacking, deception, or any unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or the Casting Call Sponsors representatives. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site, mobile application, or undermine the legitimate operation of the Casting Call may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Casting Call Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies.
