Jumpy the Rescue Dog was a Border Collie Mix that became a Hollywood star famous for roles on NCIS and in many movies including In a Valley of Violence and Rules Don’t Apply. He broke into acting via commercials an MTV feature profile estimated that the border collie/blue heeler mix starred in at least 80 ads during the course of his career — and viral video stunts (such as this YouTube video below where he popped 54 balloons in 3.3 seconds).
He was part of amazing Omar Von Muller’s family of dogs. Omar is one of the most successful, most respected animal trainers in America. He was absolutely devastated by the loss when the star died Feb. 21 after a battle with cancer.
He revealed the sad news in an Instagram post and apologized to fans for not informing them sooner. “It has been extremely painful and still very fresh,” von Muller wrote. “No words can describe the pain we are feeling.”
Jumpy Really Rocked this video. He was such a talented trick dog (and a rescue) #rescuesrock.
The only good news for Omar and all Jumpy’s fams is that Jumpy had puppies before he passed over the Rainbow Bridge and they look too cute for words.
The Talent Hounds Pack sends all our sympathy and best wishes to Omar and his family.
