Happy Victoria Day in Canada
Happy Birthday Queen Elizabeth from Kilo the Pug (the King of his Castle)
Victoria Day (in French: Fête de la Reine) is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday before May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria’s birthday.
The date is also that on which the current reigning Canadian sovereign Queen Elizabeth’s official birthday is recognized. It is reported to have been celebrated since 1845. Kilo the Pug has gone from Rescue to Royalty and now rules our house, so it is fitting he delivers birthday wishes.
It is also the unofficial start to many summer activities and a time to Pawty. The occasion is often celebrated with fireworks and friends.
Please remember that many dogs are afraid of fireworks and they can be dangerous if not handled with care. Kilo the will be inside his little “castle”, making mischief as always I’m sure, but away from any action.
Have fun and stay safe.
