Happy Monday! As the week begins we would like to remind you to take a second, breath and make love-based decisions. For many of us, our minds run our lives and all decisions are made rationally. We live completely driven by our heads without any knowledge that our heart is trying to lead us elsewhere.
We tend to like our life path to be chosen strategically and all possibilities determined logically. Learning how to start letting love lead the way in our life can be challenging for many.
Dogs always follow their heart every day. They live life judgement free and therefore happy. They let their intuitive, spontaneous and joyful energy guides them each day. In return, canines are known to be the most loyal and loving creatures on earth. This is why they make such amazing therapy and service animals.
This week is also International Assistance Dog Week (IADW). International Assistance Dog Week, recognizes and honors hardworking assistance dogs; raises awareness and educates the public about how these specially trained animals are aiding so many people in our communities; honor the puppy raisers and trainers of the assistance dogs; and recognize heroic deeds performed by assistance dogs in our communities.
The celebration takes place each year, starting on the first Sunday of August. In 2015, International Assistance Dog Week will be August 2-8.
A week created to recognizing all the devoted, hardworking assistance dogs helping individuals mitigate their disability related limitations.
The goals of IADW are to:
- Recognize and honor assistance dogs
- Raise awareness and educate the public about assistance dogs
- Honor puppy raisers and trainers
- Recognize heroic deeds performed by assistance dogs in our communities
Support IADW by recognizing special dogs in your community.
