TGIF, To Coppertone That Means Surfs Up!
Happy Friday! Today’s Dog of the Day is our pal Coppertone! Coppertone is a miniature dachshund and California native. Coppertone was near death when she was adopted as a puppy and the vet felt she would not survive. But thanks to love and care from a family of avid surfers, she did and would go on to become a champion surfer. Her survival instinct has made her an incredible surfer with no fear and inviting any challenge there is offered. Coppertone inspires us to concur our fears and ride the wave of life. She is believed to be the first Dachshund in history to become a champion surfer. She won for Best “GROMUTT” of 2014 and came in second place for the small dog category at the Unleashed by Petco Surf Dog Competition at Imperial Beach in San Diego, California. See her latest surf video along with 7 other amazing dogs who love to surf on today’s Fit Dog Friday post.
Take your dog to the beach or cottage this weekend for some H2O fun. Maybe even have you dog try his paw at surfing like Coppertone and friends. Safety First! Read our 5 Tips for Hanging 10
