Are You Bored or Frustrated With Your Usual Walk?
We all know walking is a great way to get out and active with your dog! I walk Kilo 5 times a day, but just short outings around our block. For many more sporty dogs or people with better knees, this would get boring very fast.
I try to add spice with short hikes in the ravine or Brickworks at off-peak times, or adventures along the waterfront. The more smells and terrains, the more mental and physical exercise and more fun.
Walk for Health, Fun & Charity
If you are sick of the same old walk and are looking for inspiration, why not Walk for Health, Fun & Charity! What a Win-Win!
- You get to explore a new area and new terrain with a guide.
- You and your dog get to socialize (in Kilo’s case, not such a plus but great for me)
- Your dog gets lots of new smells and you may even go further than you would have alone.
- You are supporting fundraising efforts and helping dogs or people in need.

Great initiative – not only get your exercise in, but help out some rescues too!

Great idea, but we never get bored since we are always taking different routes. We would love to do some of the charity walks, but we don’t want to ask people for money, so we never do them. It is just not Mom’s thing to do.

You are so right ~ walks needs to be kept interesting! So far, I have only participated in one charity walk. It was the Cesar Millan National Family Pack Walk along the mall in Washington D.C., back in 2012. It was spectacular & we all raised money for a good cause!

Community type dog walks are my favorite! It’s such a great way to socialize your dog and meet some nice people and their pups. You have some wonderful ideas to keep people motivated to get out there and walk. 🙂
