The Human-Animal Bond
We are always inspired by the power and complexity of the human-animal bond. Faithfully Yours takes a close look at this interesting topic. Peggy explains
“I was doing a lot of research about the human-animal bond for various magazines and come across deep, touching stories. I think one of the most interesting topics I researched was about how dogs sniff out cancer. Animals help us in such surprising ways. I was also interested in the ways people help animals and why people and animals are so involved with each other. There is an amazing power in the human-animal bond. Animals rescue people and people rescue animals. The love goes both ways.”

Faithfully Yours
You’ll enjoy these stories and many more!
The story of Betsy Banks Saul, the founder of Petfinder, who shared two stories about the chickens on her little home farm. That shows people can bond with all animals, including chickens.
There’s also a story about Bill Berloni, the Tony-award winning Broadway dog trainer. He not only takes shelter dogs and makes them stars, but he volunteers at the shelter, making matches between pets and people. He shared with Peggy the story of one homeless dog named Harriett who took a little extra time to find her perfect match.
There’s also stories about Bill Lishman, the man who flew with the geese in his ultralight glider and taught them new migration routes, and Gwen Cooper, the author of the bestselling book Homer’s Odyssey, who shared a story about adopting her blind cat, Homer.
