Cardinal Conference & Events Solutions is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the first annual Pet Expo in the Kitchener-Waterloo area in support of the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. The KW Pet Expo will feature approximately 50 exhibitors showcasing a variety of pet-related products and services for pet owners and enthusiasts. There will also be a number of pet rescues teaching people about how they could help the rescued animals. Pets will be allowed at the show, provided they are on leashes, up-to-date on all their vaccines, and a pet waiver form has been filled out.
Don’t miss: A Waterloo Regional Police Canine Unit demonstration. The Canadian Kennel Club Canine Good Neighbour Program. The very popular WoofJocks Canine All Stars. A series of “Pet Talks” presentations. Hands On Exotics. A wiener dog race. A pet costume contest.

If you have experienced the loss of your animal or are anticipating the loss of your animal, know that you are not alone in the grief that you are feeling. The purpose of this group is to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone’s grief matters. Participants will have an opportunity to express their loss and share memories of their companions. The group meets the first Saturday of each month.

Dogs 4 Youth will feature a massive indoor dog-centric marketplace with vendors from a wide variety of companies selling everything a dog could ever want or need, with a few things for you too. Custom dog leashes, collars, specialized doggie treats, a day at the spa, and so much more. No matter your dog’s size or shape, you’re sure to find something they’ll love almost as much as they love you!
All proceeds go to helping the FORT youth centre, an organization that provides free programming for youth ages 11-18 in Grimsby, Smithville, and Caistor. Dog Lovers Days will also be providing entertainment.

As part of Responsible Pet Ownership Month, the City of Pickering is hosting Petapolooza, Pickering’s Pet Tradeshow. Petapolooza brings together pet enthusiasts within our community and gives them an opportunity to meet industry professionals, rescue groups, and others in the pet industry. Food and drinks will also be available on site.
- This event is free to the public however we are asking for a voluntary donation of $2.
- Dogs are welcome and must be on leash unless you are in the lower level of the leash free area.

Purina Harbourfront Walk for Dog Guides

Benefiting: Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides
The Purina Walk for Dog Guides is a national fundraising walk held in more than 200 communities across Canada. It raises funds to help train Dog Guides for Canadians with visual, hearing, medical or physical disabilities. To date the walk has raised more than $12 million! The 2015 walk raised just over $22,000, and we’d love to top that this year. Join us for the walk, followed by light refreshments, a silent auction and prize draw!
Burlington Humane Family Walk and Wag-a-thon

Admission:$5 per person plus pledges collected
Benefiting: Burlington Humane Society
Select a 2 or 4km walking route. The afternoon also includes a vendor alley, wacky dog show judged by local celebrities, BBQ and silent auction.
