What a perfect weekend to combine work and play and have fun in the sun. The Talent Hounds crew was on location May 28th-29th at Toronto’s Woodbine Park for Woofstock, then at the Fairmont Royal York, filming more episodes of our comedy series Backseat Barkers with Jess, Fishstick and this time Lottie played the border collie. Just a reminder below of episode one where we met Hugh and Jess and their adopted fur-siblings.
Backseat Barkers Episode One
Backseat Barkers Episode Two
In this episode of our award-nominated series, mom, dad and the step-fur-kids visit Toronto.
While Hugh attends a dentistry conference, Jess, Fishstick the Pug and Lottie the Border Collie check out Woofstock and enjoy the suite life at their luxury hotel: the Fairmount Royal York.
Fishstick, our star rescue pug, enjoyed flirting with some of our pug blogger friends like Miss Edie the Pug and Tuesday the Pug at the PugALug Pug Rescue booth.
We are pretty sure he was inviting all the pretty girls back to his gorgeous room at the Hotel. He missed his crush, the very fashionable Iggy Joey.
After some socializing, Fishstick headed straight to the Bullwrinkles booth and settled in beside it to wait for treats. He enjoyed Celebrity treatment all day. Tanya from Bullwrinkles was kind enough to give us a massive bone and some liver treats.
“Jess” spoke with Tanya about their line of healthy delicious dog treats and chews.
Doesn’t Fishstick look dapper in his Handmade In The Hammer Canada bow-tie? Kilo the Pug has the same one and we gave one to Doug the Pug.
We couldn’t resist snapping a photo of Lottie hugging her real life brother Grizzly at the booth.
It was a historic moment for Fishstick when he got to meet his idol, the king of Pop Culture, Doug the Pug. The line up to get your own selfie was incredible.

Lottie cheered Fishstick on as he competed in the Pug Races, a popular event at Woofstock.
Lottie and her trainer, Taylor showed off her amazing tricks for our camera.
She was a pro at the Dog Lovers Days Lure Course!
Lottie and Fishstick even walked the red carpet for the Costume Contest.
How funny is Fishstick’s Donald Trump wig?
We were happy to run into our pal Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund and watch his #nobiteisright presentation with Dr Clayton Greenway of NewsTalk 1010 and West Hill Animal Clinic. We certainly didn’t want to pick up any disgusting ticks filming in the park.

Our last stop for filming was at the Fairmount Royal York Hotel downtown. What a beautiful place, and so nice to put our feet up in the aircon on the super comfy beds after our long day in the sun.
Fishstick’s Rescue to Royalty Story and celebrity treatment continued. Thanks to the hotel for supplying Fishstick with his very own robe and gift basket- Lottie was not impressed.

Disclosure: We were not compensated by the hotel but we did receive the use of the room for filming. Our opinions are our own and we absolutely loved it.
