Important Dates
National Pet Preparedness Month. This month, timed for the first month of hurricane season, urges people with pets to make preparations in case they should be hit by a disaster…and that includes making plans for what you would do with your dog in case of a hurricane, tornado, flood or other natural disaster.
National Adopt A Cat Month. Summer means kitten season! It’s a great time to adopt a cat.
National Adopt A Shelter Cat Month. Adopt, don’t shop this month.
Social Pet Working Month. Share your pets or boost adoptable animals on social media.

Redemption Dogs Pop Up Adopt Shop
12:00pm to 5:00pm
Admission: Free
Redemption Dogs will host a 5-hour pop up adopt event here at Purina PawsWay. There will be lots of dogs looking to start a new life here in Toronto!
Rescue groups onsite will include: • Black Dog Rescue • Moosonee Puppy Rescue • Save Me Rescue • Dire Woofs • Safehome Rescue
Pet Loss Support Group
11:30am to 1:00pm
Admission: Free, but please RSVP to pawswaypetlossgroup@gmail.com
If you have experienced the loss of your animal or are anticipating the loss of your animal, know that you are not alone in the grief that you are feeling. The purpose of this group is to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone’s grief matters. Participants will have an opportunity to express their loss and share memories of their companions. The group meets the first Saturday of each month.

Join us for the 6th annual Furry Friends 5K. The Furry Friends 5K is a fundraising event that you do by yourself or with your dog. Come out for some fresh air and exercise and raise some money for some great charities.
Ottawa Dog Festival celebrates the grace, beauty, athleticism, loyalty, intelligence, and yes, even the silliness of our four-legged best friends!
Held outdoors at the RA Centre, rain or shine, with competitions, dedicated doggy play zones, food trucks, a Sundeck patio, and an awesome selection of vendors offering everything from Crates to Cookies!

- Retractable leases are not allowed. They are WAY too dangerous. Dogs MUST be on-leash at all times, unless in one of our enclosed play areas.
Trick Your Mutt Into Doing Tricks
12:00pm to 3:00pm

if you’re in the Toronto area and want to have fun with your Dog then come on out and show us what your dog can do. Show us the tricks that you have been working on and win a prize package; on best doggy trick. Good Luck!
Off Leash Safety Course
5:00pm to 6:00pm
Admission: $10.75
STAY SAFE, PLAY SAFE! Learn everything you need to know to keep your dog safe in an Off Leash environment – whether at PawsWay or outside. Discover invaluable tips on canine body language and how to ensure safe, responsible and fun environment for you and your dog. This course is mandatory for visitors attending PawsWay’s off leash programs.
Exhibitors, speakers every 1/2 hour, doggy fashion show and enter to win the Best Dressed Dog Contest. Food & so much fun.

The Poochie Power Walk encourages pet lovers of the Cambridge area and beyond to run or walk with (or without) their dogs! There is no fee to attend, and the walk is not mandatory, you can just enjoy the activities! Visit our vendor marketplace, raffles, door prizes, dog demonstrations, contests and games for pets and people, as well as an all day BBQ, all in support of the Cambridge & District Humane Society.
DogLoversDays… Bring Your Dog!

DogLoversDays is a fun filled family day with your dog! A day when you can relax and watch YOUR dog be the star! A complete interactive “dog” festival where the family dog has fun running agility and speed tracks and much more. If it’s called a dog festival, it should be “all about the dog”. Your dog can have a ball running a lure course, Have some fund in the Doggie Play Zone, or visit a Holistic Healer at the Health and Wellness Centre. There are also numerous vendors and lots to see. Come on out and Bring Your Dog!

Puppy Kindergarten is a fun and interactive way to introduce puppies and owners to basic training. Starting early with fun and rewarding positive motivational training helps teach the behavior we want before bad habits have a chance to form.
Dogtopia Presents: Bubbles For Bello
The Bello Project, under the home hospice association, will be having it’s annual charity dog wash!
The Bello Project is a service provided to pets and their terminally ill owners during the final days, that works to continue providing support and soothe the bond between a stressful time.
Not only will you be able to wash your furry friend for $15, there will also be a BBQ with snacks and drinks provided with a donation.
Greyhound Walkers of Toronto is pleased to announce that we are registered as an official walk for the 2016 Great Global Greyhound Walk! Co-founders Goodman and Dagger are your hosts for the event, taking place in Toronto for the very first time on Sunday, June 19, 2016! Greyhounds and sighthounds from around the world will walk in unison.
