Important Dates
National Pet Preparedness Month. This month, timed for the first month of hurricane season, urges people with pets to make preparations in case they should be hit by a disaster…and that includes making plans for what you would do with your dog in case of a hurricane, tornado, flood or other natural disaster.
National Adopt A Cat Month. Summer means kitten season! It’s a great time to bring home a friend for your pup by adopting a cat!
Social Pet Working Month. Share your pets online or boost adoptable animals on social media.

Pet Loss Support Group
Time: 11:30am
Admission: Free, but please RSVP to pawswaypetlossgroup@gmail.com
If you have experienced the loss of your animal or are anticipating the loss of your animal, know that you are not alone in the grief that you are feeling. The purpose of this group is to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone’s grief matters. Participants will have an opportunity to express their loss and share memories of their companions. The group meets the first Saturday of each month.

Join us for the 7th annual Furry Friends 5K. The Furry Friends 5K is a fundraising event that you do by yourself or with your dog. Come out for some fresh air and exercise and raise some money for some great charities.

Puppy Kindergarten is a fun and interactive way to introduce puppies and owners to basic training. Starting early with fun and rewarding positive motivational training helps teach the behavior we want before bad habits have a chance to form.
The best Dog Party in town, the Ottawa Dog Festival is an Outdoor Event for the public and their four-legged friends! With games, competitions, food trucks, and a beer lounge, there is something for people and pooches alike! Watch the pro pups from the Rideau River Dock Diving, try out the Lure Course open to the public, and experience the newest outdoor dog party in town!

“To bring owners together regardless of where their hound has been homed from, to celebrate greyhounds and other sighthounds, to raise awareness of greyhounds and to promote greyhounds as pets in a BIG way.”

Purina PawsWay is pleased to offer off leash play time for dogs of all ages and sizes in our indoor Pet Park (3500 sq ft).

Benefiting: Cambridge & District Humane Society
The Poochie Power Walk encourages pet lovers of the Cambridge area and beyond to run or walk with (or without) their dogs! There is no fee to attend, and the walk is not mandatory, you can just enjoy the activities! Visit our vendor marketplace, raffles, door prizes, dog demonstrations, contests and games for pets and people, as well as an all day BBQ, all in support of the Cambridge & District Humane Society.
ODAWG Calendar Photoshoot Contest!
When: June 19th 2017
Where: Harmony Valley Dog Park
When: 10:30 am – 12:30pm
Admission: you can have a volunteer photographer take photos at the park on designated days or you can submit your own photo online – FEE for both photographer/ online submission.
You’re invited to participate in our 7th Annual ODAWG Days Photo Calendar Contest! All pet photos submitted will be included but only 13 winners (12 months plus the cover) will be selected as “Cutie of the Month” and win a free copy of the calendar.
