Backseat Barkers Nominated For BlogPaws Best Pet Blog Video Award
We are so excited and proud to announce that the pilot for our comedy web series, Backseat Barkers, has been given a huge honor.
BlogPaws just revealed the finalists for the 2016 Nose-to-Nose Pet Blogging and Social Media Awards. We are in the running for the “Best Pet Blog Video Finalists” against some stiff competition.
“BlogPaws is an inclusive, global community of pet enthusiasts who write about and support pets via social media.”
It’s so inspiring to be a part of such an influential group of pet bloggers in the BlogPaws Community. Each blog helps promote responsible pet ownership and celebrates the human-animal bond. BlogPaws’ Vision & Mission is to empower pet parenting bloggers & social media advocates to amplify their voices, expand their influence, and generate economic opportunity in the $60 billion pet care industry. While supporting fellow members’ efforts to give back to the pets we love so much. We have learned so much from this community and made many friends.
The BlogPaws 2016 Nose-to-Nose Pet Blogging and Social Media Awards
These are the only pet industry awards in which pet bloggers and microbloggers are rewarded for their expertise, passion, and creativity. The awards unite all species of animals and those who write about and for them. We are thrilled to be nominated for the “Best Pet Blog Vido Finalists” among so many other amazing videos.
Backseat Barkers
Our hilarious road trip comedy series, Backseat Barkers, follows a blended family of two twenty-somethings and their dogs. Watch as Sophie and Hugh, and their two dogs Fishstick, an unruly rescue pug and athlete trick dog Nana the Border Collie move in together and embark on a trip around Ontario. We were inspired by the ups and downs of dating with dogs and starting a family and the number of friends travelling with pets.
A road trip with a new partner can be challenging enough, but throw in a couple dogs who are opposites and comedic tension will ensue. Think the canine version of the Odd Couple or Friends on the Road.
The series shows the different breed characteristics and how important it is to do your research when choosing a pet. It also promotes adoption and tips on travelling with pets.
