Pet Loss Support Group

If you have experienced the loss of your animal or are anticipating the loss of your animal, know that you are not alone in the grief that you are feeling. The purpose of this group is to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone’s grief matters. Participants will have an opportunity to express their loss and share memories of their companions. The group meets the first Saturday of each month.
Cat Week at PawsWay
Beginning Monday, August 8 (International Cat Day) through Saturday, August 13 we’ll be offering a series of programs and events appealing to cat owners and cat enthusiasts culminating with the Friskies® Feline Festival Caturday, August 13 (12-6pm)!
Pop-up Cat Café Friday, August 12 (6-9pm) and Saturday, August 13 (12-6pm)
Grab your coffee at Williams Fresh Café and join us in our Pop-up Cat Café Friday and Saturday! Meet and cuddle adoptable kittens and cats from the Toronto Humane Society.
From August 8, 2016 to August 13, 2016, Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada, a division of Nestlé Canada Inc., will donate $1 for every eligible tweet sent using the hashtag #CatWeek2016 directed at @PawsWay on Twitter or @PurinaPawsWay on Instagram and $75 for every cat adopted onsite at PawsWay, up to a maximum of $5,000 CAD to the Toronto Humane Society. Some restrictions may apply.
Canadian Sheepdog Championships

If you’re an animal-lover and enjoy competition as well, the Canadian Sheepdog Championships are something you’ll want to see. Shepherd’s Crook Farm on Lorneville Road near Woodville Ontario will offer visitors an opportunity to see with their own eyes the magical teamwork between dog and handler as they welcome North America’s top sheepdog handlers to a premiere dog event. With side attractions including demonstrations, crafts and vendors, this is an event the whole family will enjoy.
Toronto Humane Society Paws in the Park
The Toronto Humane Society’s walk-a-thon fundraiser – Paws in the Park® – takes place on August 14th at Woodbine Park in Toronto! Paws in the Park® has been a staple in our community for years, and this year’s event is sure to be the biggest yet! They’ve got extraordinarily delicious food for all participants, primping for your pooch, a pet photo booth, celebrity guests, shopping in our Vendor Village, face painting and so much more!

A Day for the Dogs

Bring your four legged family members to A Day for the Dogs at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. Meet dog groomers, rescue organizations and local services for your pet. Vendors will showcase a variety of doggy toys, fashion, food and more. Danielle Mahoney Photography will be at the event and will be providing mini-sessions for dogs in the Historic Village! Enjoy agility shows by “Cruisin’ Paws Agility” followed by “Kids Race the Agility Dogs” contests. Between shows, test your dog’s abilities with the Cruisin’ Paws Agility equipment. Enroll your dog in one or all of our contests and compete for great prizes from our sponsors.
