Faith’s Journey- Story of a Puppy Mill Survivor
My life hasn’t always been the greatest, 12 years I spent in a place where I wasn’t being loved — just used as profit and a way to create more puppies. I am Grammy Faith, a 12 year old Chihuahua that is 5lbs 2oz. August 16th was the turning point of my life, there was a raid at the place I was in and several of us were taken out of the terrible place..though I am sad that many of my friends were left behind, I was fortunate enough to make it out of there. Thanks to Clifford’s Army Rescue Extravaganza (they posted our pictures to get us pulled) we were all pulled the next day. I ended up being pulled with 5 other Chihuahua’s, two being my sons. It took no time for my furever family to find me, they actually saw me the first day when I was put on Clifford’s Army Rescue Extravaganza’s page. It took many weeks before I could get to them, but during that time I got to bond with my foster family and my sons.
September 1st, 2013 was another milestone in my life. It was the day my furever family came and got me. They came all the way from Ohio to pick me up, as soon as they saw me they knew I was supposed to be there with them. I was automatically apart of their family when they first saw me and I was officially theirs. My life is only positive from here on now, I no longer have to breed. I will be loved the rest of my life and I will always have a bed to lay in.
I hope that I can educate those who don’t know much about puppy mills, my life was hard throughout those years I was at that horrible place but I am turning it into a positive and seeing it as a way to show the truth about pet store puppies and backyard breeders.
