Cute and Funny Pug Pictures from Pugentine Party hosted by Pugalug Pug Rescue

This weekend Kilo and I attended Pugentine, a Valentine’s Day event held at PawsWay by the awesome people at Pugalug Pug Rescue. It was such a great afternoon spent celebrating #puglove!
Pugalug Pug Rescue is a dog rescue organization that helps bridge to gap between a pug’s past life and its future forever home. The group of volunteers are committed to helping these rescued pugs by providing medical care, fostering and a forever home. They are an amazing group who work hard fighting for pugs in need. They also happen to throw fun parties to help raise money and awareness, and to celebrate the pug dog breed.
The turn out was good and all the dogs seemed to get along. Pugs seem pretty sociable so lots of sniffing, chasing and licking. There were black pugs, fawn pugs, slim pugs, stout pugs, shy pugs, party pugs and adorable baby pugs. Even a couple of other breeds came to check out the festivities. For the humans there was a great raffle, dog nail trimming and a chance to buy your furry Valentine a gift like a cool new dog bed or browse selections from Peachy Keen Pets and Muddy Paws. I got Kilo a cute new Pug Bowtie from Peachy Keen (one of his many gifts).
Are you excited for Valentine’s Day? Tell us if your dog is your perfect Valentine in our new “Be My Valentine” Contest and Enter to WIN great prizes including a custom T-shirt and $50 VISA gift card!
If you are interested in adopting or fostering a pug, do your research. Make sure a pug fits your lifestyle and personality. I did our fun Breed Quiz and got Party Pug luckily for cute little Kilo the Rescue Pug, but I know I was a little surprised by how much Kilo sheds and how much attention he needs. Read our overview of traits from our Breed Library to see if a pug is right for you. Share insights and photos if you are a pug owner or foster.
Try a rescue pet finder site like petfinder.com or contact Pugalug Pug Rescue or Homeward Bound. Adopt Don’t Shop if possible. Don’t support puppy mills and if you decide to buy a puppy, choose a responsible breeder.
