Today we are giving thanks to Tiny Paws Dog Rescue Canada for all of their amazing work. The TPDRC is a Canadian registered charitable organization formed in 2007 comprised of volunteers who work tirelessly to fill a much needed niche in the rescue community – rescuing stray or surrendered small (under 20 lb.) mixed breed or purebred dogs. They work with shelters, pounds, other rescues, and private individuals to save dogs that might otherwise be euthanized and place those dogs into our private foster homes. They provide standard veterinary care and other needed medical treatment, work on training issues and through our adoption screening process, find new forever homes for the dogs in their care. The organization also strives to educate and raise public awareness about responsible pet ownership, to lower the number of abandoned or disowned dogs. With generous volunteers and wonderful foster homes available it allows the TPDRC to continue working to help small dogs in need. TPDRC is a member of Helping Homeless Pets.
Check out All these Tiny Paws above- Talent Hounds ran into Robert and Elayne, TPRDC friends of Margaret and Arthur, at Woofstock (Margaret has worked with TPRDC). It was a a Wiener Rescue Fest including cutie Smoke (below) who enjoyed some vanilla ice cream in the park.
*Smoke couldn’t get enough of the sweet treat!
Todays Dog of the Day Ready to Adopt is Theo, a 4 year old male neutered Shih Tzu weighing just under 10 pounds. He had a very rough start in life, but is now safe with Tiny Paws up to date on my vaccines and micro chipped, and learning how wonderful it is to be loved and cared for. What a cutie:
The Happy Tail of the Day is the adorable Dachshund- Beagle Puppy Jake and all the dogs pictured! Wishing them and their new families many years of happiness ! Photos courtesy of Tiny Paws:
Jake loves to go for walks, runs, car rides and play. His foster family dubbed him a “professional cuddler” and a high energy small dog with a big dog complex! This little guy was ready for a loving family to spend his life with and found it- woohoo!
