Kilo the Pug and I had a fabulous time at our first Park and Bark Show in Toronto at Yonge and Davisville near us. It was beautiful weather and there were friends, freebies and treats galore. There are over 250,000 dogs in the GTA so it is such a fun idea to bring neighbourhood dog lovers together in an intimate, free, fun event like this.
We caught up with PugALug and one of their rescue alums. They do such an amazing job for pugs in need. We can’t wait for their Pugoween fundraiser again this year.
We saw our friends from OSPCA and the adorable Miss Edie the Pug who was strutting her stuff in the fashion show and checking out the booths and sponsors with Kilo (although they both played hard to get LOL). We heard more about the new OSPCA rehab centre that we plan to support and were reminded of the NO HOT PETS campaign that we also support.
There was also an amazing fashion show by Hotel Doggy with the cutest dogs and outfits.
Guess who we ran into taking photos. The brilliant Mom of Dexter and Peppermint from Dexter’s Rough Life. We miss their hilarious videos but she is so busy being a photographer now.
This fun new local initiative was presented by Subaru and we scored some cool new sunglasses at their booth. Thank you!
Global Pet Foods and Pet Valu were also both giving away great loot and Kilo is really enjoying the toys and treats. Thank you!
The next event is October 15th in Roncesvalles in the west end of Toronto. Check out our October events post for more great events this month.
