On September 2012, the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA and Hamilton Police Services worked together to rescue Dude, who was found with no food or water and suffering from severe dehydration and skin wounds.Dude required immediate emergency veterinary care and with regular feedings, continuous medical attention and socialization, Dude began to slowly recover and 5 weeks later was deemed healthy.
