Talent Hounds LOVE – A – LOT (the “Contest”)
Official Rules and Regulations (the “Contest Rules”)
1. THE CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest entry period commences at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 3, 2013 and concludes at 5.00 p.m. ET on January 18th 2013 (the “Contest Period”).
2. ELIGIBITY
The Contest is open to residents of Canada over the age of 18 (excluding residents of Quebec or where prohibited) who have submitted an audition on the www.talenthounds.ca site. Employees, directors, and officers of the “Contest Sponsors” : Hop To It Productions Inc, and Bookshorts Inc, (The Producers), The Pet Network (the Broadcaster) , the Zohar Group (“ZG”), Giant Step Inc. (“GSI”), and Michael Morris (“Mike”) , Eurocan Pet Products Inc, Bullwrinkles, and any affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) of the Contest Sponsors (the “Affiliates”), employees, directors and officers of their respective advertising and promotional agencies, as well as family members of any of the foregoing or those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to enter the Contest. Entrants under the age of majority in his or her province or state of residence who are otherwise eligible to enter the Contest must obtain the consent of his or her parent or legal guardian.
All current Talent Hounds auditions by Canadian residents (except in Quebec or where prohibited) and “LOVES” to date will be eligible

3. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Enter the Contest in the following way:
- Take a cool photo or make a video of your dog.
- Visit www.www.talenthounds.ca (the “Web Site”) on your computer or mobile device and register by creating an account, then submit a photo and /or video audition using the online tools provided. There is no limit on the number of auditions an entrant can create. Only one (1) email address and one (1) entrant can be associated with each account.
- “LOVE” then share your audition with family and friends using the SHARE tool or any other means you like and ask them to “LOVE” the audition on the site www.www.talenthounds.ca (they must sign in to do so).
STANDARD MOBILE DEVICE CHARGES MAY APPLY.
The Contest Sponsors take no responsibility for technical difficulties, or for “LOVES” and Auditions that are lost, misdirected, miscounted, delayed, or received after the Contest deadline. By submitting an audition on the www.talenthounds.ca website entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and regulations. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address in question.
4. WINNERS SELECTION
3 Prize Packages
(i)Anyone who visits the Web Site may “LOVE” auditions by registering and using the online tools provided. Each IP address is limited to one (1) LOVE. By the end of the Contest Period, at 5.00 p.m. ET, the three auditions with the most LOVES on TalentHounds.ca (not Facebook or other social media site) will be selected as the Potential Winners.
(ii)On the following day at the offices of the Contest Sponsors, three (3) eligible entrants with the most LOVES will be selected and will potentially be awarded the Prize Packages (as defined in section 5 below)
The potential Prize Package winners will be contacted by a representative of one of the Contest Sponsors within ten (10) business days through email, as provided by the entrant’s account information. Potential Prize Package winners found to be ineligible, who decline to accept the Prize Package or who are unable to be contacted (including failing to return emails) within five (5) business days from the time the Contest Sponsors contact the potential winners, and/or who fail to reply and accept the Release Form (as defined in section 10 below) emailed to him or her within the allotted time period, will forfeit the Prize Package.
(iii)If the contacted Potential Winner has forfeited or unable to claim the Prize Package, the entrant with the next most LOVED audition will become the Potential Winner and will be contacted within ten (10) business days through email – ten (10) days from the time the previous Potential Winner forfeited the Prize Package.
(iv)The Contest Sponsors shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof in a form satisfactory to Contest Sponsors may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Contest Sponsors for the purpose of the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant should such an entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
5. THE PRIZE PACKAGE AND PRIZE VALUE
There are three (3) Prize Packages to be won, Each Prize Package consists of the following:
One (1) box of Scoopy Bags (750 bags – about a year’s supply for one dog) valued at $49.99 CAD + a free Scoopy carrying pouch (valued at $9.99 CAD). Total Scoopy Bags prize package has a retail value of $59.98 CAD (+ free shipping).
One collection of Bullwrinkles Treats – Retail value $50.00 CAD (+ free shipping)
Allow 4-6 weeks for shipment of any prize after verification of the addresses provided along with the reply to the acceptance of Release Form through email.
All taxes on prizes are sole responsibility of the winner.
6. DEADLINE FOR CLAIMING A PRIZE
Following the confirmation as a prize winner in accordance with the Contest Rules, selected entrant will be given instructions and a deadline as to how they must claim the prize. Potential winners who fail either to claim the prize or to inform the Contest Sponsors his/her inability to claim the prize before the deadline, as instructed, will forfeit the prize. Entrants are responsible to keep their contact information up to date on the Talent Hounds site. The Contest Sponsors will not be held responsible for the loss of prizes due to theft or changes in email addresses, mailing addresses, errors in completed entry forms or any other circumstances leading to an invalid, erroneous or incomplete mailing address or e-mail address.
7. PRIZE CONDITIONS
(i) Lost or stolen prize will not be replaced by Contest Sponsors
(ii) Shipping cost for the Prize Package will be provided by the Contest Sponsors
(iii) If the winner has not reached the age of majority in his/her province of residence, or state, one of his/her parents or guardians must be the one to claim the prize for him/her.
8. CHANCES OF WINNING
Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entrants during the Contest Period and the number of LOVES they get for their auditions on TalentHounds.ca (not on Facebook or some other social media site). The ‘most-loved’ auditions on TalentHounds.ca will win. Sharing the auditions with family and friends on social media sites outside of TalentHounds.ca will help increase chances of getting “loves” and raise the chances of winning.
9. NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES
None of the Contest Sponsors makes any representation or offers any warranty, expressed or implied, as to the quality or fitness of any prize awarded in connection with the Contest. Prize winners understand and acknowledge that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from the Contest Sponsors should a prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory to a prize winner.
10. DECLARATION AND RELEASE OF PRIZE WINNER
Before being awarded a prize, the selected entrant, or if the selected entrant is a Minor, his or her parent or legal guardian, on the Minor’s behalf, and his or her guest(s), where applicable, must reply to the Contest Sponsors’ email and indicated that he or she read, understood and accepted these Contest Rules; he or she releases the Contest Sponsors, the Affiliates, and all of their directors, officers, employees, agents as well as their respective advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising in connection with participation in the Contest and acceptance of a prize, including, without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred or arising from participating in the Contest or accepting a prize, whether suffered by the prize winner, or by his or her heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors, and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission, negligence or gross negligence of any or all of the Releasees above.
Release Forms will be emailed to winners at the email address provided on his or her www.talenthounds.ca account. Prizes will only be awarded upon reply of the email to indicate that the entrant has agreed to accept the rules. Failure to reply to the Contest Sponsors’ email as instructed within five (5) business days of being sent by the Contest Sponsors will result in disqualification. Prize winners are responsible for obtaining and replying to the Release Forms sent to his or her email.
11. PRIZE SUBSTITUTION
Prizes and prize portions are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, have no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify a prize, or prize portion, with (a) prize(s) of equal or greater value for any reason. Should a winner be unable to claim his/her prize or prize portion as awarded, his/her rights to that prize or prize portion will be forfeited.
12 PRIVACY / USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.
(a) the Sponsors will use names, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) from the www.talenthounds.ca Audition entrants for the purpose of administering the Contest, to contact and the Winners; and (ii) Sponsors may have to disclose his/her Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of any of the Sponsors in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) above.
Audition entrants who do not want to be contacted in the event that they win the contest, can e-mail talenthounds@gmail.com to opt out.
(b) The Sponsors will use the entrant’s Personal Information only for identified purposes, and protect the entrant’s Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with the Contest Sponsors’ Privacy Policy:
13. TERMINATION/MODIFICATION
Subject to applicable law, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, terminate, modify the Contest Rules or administration of the Contest, in whole or in part, without prior notice with no obligation or liability, including, if for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, whether due to technical failure, tampering, fraud, corruption of security or other causes.
14. PUBLICITY
By entering the Contest, each entrant (or in the case of a Minor entrant, his or her parent or legal guardian) consents to the use of his or her name, city of residence, photograph, voice, likeness, image or any other aspect of his or her personality for any publicity and programming purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media used by the Contest Sponsors, promoters and their advertising and promotional agencies, without any payment or compensation.
15. CONSENT TO COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering the Talent Hounds Casting Call and voluntarily providing personal information including, but not limited to, name, address, city, email address, home and office telephone numbers (the “Registrant Information”), each entrant grants permission to the Contest Sponsors to collect and use the Registrant Information for the exclusive purpose of administering the Contest and selecting the prize winner(s).
Audition entrants who do not want to be contacted in the event that they win the contest or are cast in the Talent Hounds film, can e-mail talenthounds@gmail.com to opt out, or they can delete their profile on www.www.talenthounds.ca.
16. TAMPERING
If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsors that corrupts, impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend the Contest and/or prizes. The Contest Sponsors further reserve the right to disqualify, from this Contest and future contests of the Contest Sponsors, any individual who tampers with or in any way corrupts the entry process. The Contest Sponsors may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in the Contest Sponsors’ sole discretion, the Contest Sponsors determine that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or any unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or the Contest Sponsors representatives. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site, mobile application, or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages (including lawyers’ fees) from any such entrant or any other individual to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering the Contest, the entrant (or if the entrant is a Minor, his or her parent or legal guardian, on the Minor’s behalf) agrees that the Releasees shall have no liability and shall be held harmless by the entrant for any damage, loss or liability to person or property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of entering the Contest, the acceptance, possession, use, enjoyment or misuse of any prize, or while preparing for, participating in any Contest-related or prize-related activity. The Releasees are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by any of the Releasees, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions that may cause damage to a user’s system or limit a potential entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest.
18. COMPLIANCE WITH CONTEST RULES
All contestants agree to abide by the Contest Rules, which are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsors.
19. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
These are the official Contest Rules. The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsors. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and the Sponsors in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.
20. LANGUAGE DISCREPANCY
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to the Contest promotions, or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
21. R.A.C.J.
For residents of Quebec, any litigation respect the conduct and awarding of a prize in this publicity contest may be submitted to “La Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux” for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to La Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. All taxes on the prizes have been paid in accordance with the rules laid down by La Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.
