I really want one of these- I know Kilo mainly snoozes but he does also get into mischief while he is home alone and he LOVES treats.

The ASPCA teamed up with everyone’s favourite senior pet advocate and Instagram celeb Marnie the Dog to launch Home for the Holidays, a photo contest celebrating rescued pets and the people who gave them a second chance with a loving home. In the spirit of holiday giving, the grand prize winner will get a $500 grant for their favorite shelter. The contest can be found at ASPCA.org/HomeForTheHolidays. They also have great gift packs available.
In the spirit of giving back to animals in need while gifting this year, the ASPCA also teamed up with great brands to bring awesome deals on these special gifts.
Jewelry from Alex and Ani
Pet Accessories from Pottery Barn Teen
Home Goods from West Elm
Dog Toys
Buster Food Cubes from Kruuse
We recently received two Buster Food Cubes to try. Kilo was entertained for quite a while. They are very robust and Kilo loved rolling them around trying to get kibble out. I love making him work for food in a fun way so these are great, just like the Buster Play Mat which is an all time favorite. They are divided into several compartments which release the food pellets when the dog rolls the cube with his nose or paws. Kilo uses both his nose and his paws. They come in assorted colors and are dishwasher safe.
Dog Toys By Max & Cocoa were at the Pet Expo and I just got some cute plush including a Christmas red fluffy bone at PetSmart on sale plus the toy in the Dog Lovers Gift Basket. Kilo the Pug is pretty spoilt.
Doggie Welcome Mats- how cute are these?
Professional Photos and Portraits Of Your Dog
We are lucky that talented Aria takes great photos of Kilo and our friend at Her and Her Dogs (Sadie & Co.) did a beautiful painting of him which I LOVE. She also creates notecards and childrens’ books which make great gifts.
I also saw several great painting options including My Pooch Face (we met at BarkWorld) for a very different style, local artists at recent events and Rebecca’s BeccaVision colorful paintings (we met on Twitter).
Bike Attachment for Dogs – This cool invention at CPE lets you bike with your dog more safely.
Bowties by Handmade in the Hammer and Tuesday the Pug and Lucky Dog Accessories
I am a big fan of bow ties and bandanas, especially on dogs that are not fans of getting dressed up. Kilo doesn’t mind wearing his Canadian themed and Christmas themed handmade bow ties from Handmade in the Hammer. There are so many colors and patterns to choose from that will match your dog’s personality. Tuesday the Pug also has a great selection for charity.
Apparel for Dogs and Dog Lovers
Funky Tails Christmas Sweaters for Humans and Dogs – #MatchyMatchy
You can actually match your Dog. How fun is that? I love Kilo in his Ugly Sweaters and he doesn’t seem to mind wearing them. Don’t forget December 16th is Ugly Sweater Day.
Heads N’ Tails Christmas Collection

Wheel House Novelty Socks
I got the pair with a black pug for myself and my daughter.
Printed T-shirts by Not Just Cats at Candian Pet Expo
I got a t-shirt I love at a PugALug Pug Rescue Event with a black pug’s face. They also have new t-shirts and I printed a bespoke one with Kilo’s face on it as well.
Staples, Vista Print and other Printers are all offering personalized gifts. I also saw breed specific and general hoodies, t-shirts, scarfs, on Amazon.
For all your Coffee and Tea Needs (and I love my tea and coffee)
Buy some cute options or make your own personalized mugs at Staples or Vista Print
Tea Infuser– now that is a fun way to start the day (I have a cup of Earl Grey every morning).
Name That Cookie: Personalized Pug Cookie Cutter

Other Personalized Options like Cel Phone Covers and Door Hangers

Plush Replicas
I also like the look of Custom Petsies plushes – I would love one of Kilo as I can never find a black pug plush. Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund’s looks so cute.
DVDs and Music
How about a copy of our song “My Dog” from iTunes or a copy of the Dog Wedding DVD through our friends at Fidose of Reality.
The Dog Wedding movie is now available on DVD and makes the paw-fect Christmas gift for the rom-com, dog-loving people on your holiday gift list. Better yet, for every sale of The Dog Wedding DVD using code DEXTER, $10 will be donated to the amazing folks at OBG Cocker Spaniel Rescue.
