If you have experienced the loss of your animal or are anticipating the loss of your animal, know that you are not alone in the grief that you are feeling. The purpose of this group is to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone’s grief matters. Participants will have an opportunity to express their loss and share memories of their companions.

Puppy Kindergarten is a fun and interactive way to introduce puppies and owners to basic training. Starting early with fun and rewarding positive motivational training helps teach the behavior we want before bad habits have a chance to form. For puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old.
Off Leash Safety Course
6:30pm to 7:30pm
STAY SAFE, PLAY SAFE! Learn everything you need to know to keep your dog safe in an Off Leash environment – whether at PawsWay or outside. Discover invaluable tips on canine body language and how to ensure a safe, responsible and fun environment for you and your dog. This course is mandatory for visitors attending PawsWay’s off leash programs.

An intensive 4-day workshop leading to professional dog walking certification. Graduates come away fully equipped to start a dog walking business—or advance an existing one. Expand your knowledge of canine behavior, learn new pack-management techniques and fight protocols, and go through the A-Z of running and marketing a dog walking business.

The group meets on a monthly basis and centers around off leash play and other activities for you and your chi.
K9 Manners Level 1
7:00pm to 8:00pm
Admission: $200.00+hst
This 4-week course is designed to teach your canine companion basic manners and obedience skills such as heeling with a loose leash, sit, down, stay, come and recall. All skills are taught using positive reinforcement. Recommended for dogs 6 months and over.
Admission: $25.00+hst per dog
The Canine Good Neighbour (CGN) program identifies and rewards responsible, caring owners and their canine partners. This twelve-step evaluation is fun, rewarding and useful. Successful participants receive a certificate from the Canadian Kennel Club. This event is drop-in, but please note that the final evaluation typically begins approximately 30 minutes before the end of the drop-in period.
