What Am I Thankful For?
I am very thankful for my family, my health, my friends, my home, and the many good things in my life.
We are all happy and relatively healthy at the moment after some recent issues. My business could be going slightly better but I have some very exciting projects for the new year and I get to do what I love – create content and hang out with dogs and dog-lovers. Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder to take the time to appreciate life.
We actually celebrated a few weeks ago here in Canada. I cooked a delicious dinner with a traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, mashed pumpkin, corn, peas, 2 types of stuffing and delicious gravy (gluten free).
Kilo is included in the family celebration of course and we Face-timed my older daughter in from South America and called my parents in Australia and my husband’s parents out west. I love the way Kilo appreciates all the little things in life. Every day, he bounces out of bed full of enthusiasm. He always shows how grateful he is to see me when I walk in the door or play with him or give him food.
I have quite a few pumpkin recipes I make for Kilo the Pug. He loves turkey, potatoes and peas as well. I confess that I did share a little food with him at the table (I was careful not to give him any onion, nutmeg or skin/fat).
